We are thrilled to welcome Debra Mullan as the new Executive Manager of PinG WA. Debra was raised on a horticultural farm in South-West WA and has continued her passion for agriculture through a career that has seen a number of diverse roles in the industry. Since completion of a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management (Hons I) at the UWA, Debra’s career has involved Project Management in the not-for-profit sector (Plant Health Australia, Canberra), an international research and training institution (CIMMYT, Mexico) and the tertiary education sector (The UWA Institute of Agriculture). Her previous role at UWA involved coordinating a multidisciplinary research project focused on demonstrating sustainable agriculture at the university farm in Pingelly. During her time at UWA, Debra was responsible for the development and management of a free online course available worldwide (MOOC), coordinating research and student engagement at the farm, extension to local community members and contributing to the management of the commercial farm business.
Debra is based in Perth where she is Mum to two young girls. She has maintained her engagement with the agricultural industry through her strong family ties, and is extremely passionate about farm business improvement and education within the agricultural sector.
